Preferred Label : Partially HLA-matched AdV/CMV/EBV/BKV-specific Allogeneic T-lymphocytes;

NCIt synonyms : HLA-matched Multivirus-specific Cytotoxic T-Lymphocytes; Allogeneic AdV/CMV/EBV/BKV Virus-specific T Cells; Allogeneic AdV/CMV/EBV/BKV VSTs; HLA-matched VSTs;

NCIt definition : A preparation of partially human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matched allogeneic cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTLs) that are specifically reactive to the four viruses adenovirus (AdV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and human polyomavirus type I (BKV), with potential antiviral activity. Upon infusion of the partially HLA-matched AdV/CMV/EBV/BKV-specific allogeneic T-lymphocytes upon allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in an immunodeficient recipient, these CTLs may kill AdV, CMV, EBV and/or BKV-infected cells, and may prevent or reduce the severity of viral infections by these pathogens.;
