NCIt definition : A low-grade neoplasm of the skin and subcutaneous tissue that is characterized by the presence of CD34-positive spindle cells with abundant, eosinophilic, granular to glassy cytoplasm, low mitotic activity, marked nuclear pleomorphism, and frequent keratin immunoreactivity. Rearrangement of PRDM10 gene is often present. It manifests as a slow-growing, painless mass of the superficial soft tissues, with a predilection to the lower extremities. Rare cases present as deep-seated tumors. The prognosis is excellent.;
