dehydrogenase [quinone] 1 (NQO1), which reduces the production of reactive oxygen
species (ROS) and lowers ROS-mediated oxidative stress. In addition, LOE may exert
anti-inflammatory effects through the inhibition of the phosphorylation and activation
of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB).;
