NCIt definition : A non-neoplastic fibro-osseous lesion of the tooth-bearing regions of the gnathic
bones. It is characterized by a variably cellular fibrous stroma with areas of swirling
and/or loose collagen. Within the stroma are mineralizing tissues consisting of osteoid,
bone, and cementum-like material. As the lesions mature, they become increasingly
