NCIt definition : A benign cutaneous vascular tumor characterized by the nodular proliferation of large
polygonal epithelioid endothelial cells that have abundant cytoplasm and vesicular
nuclei with small eosinophilic nucleoli in the superficial to mid-dermis. There is
hemosiderin deposition, chronic inflammatory cellular infiltrates, and mitotic activity
present. However, atypical mitoses and nuclear pleomorphism are absent. It manifests
with a small bluish papule or nodule and usually affects the trunk and extremities.;
