NCIt definition : ALKATI protein ( 60 kDa) is encoded by the ALKATI allele of the human ALK gene. This protein is involved in tyrosine phosphorylation, signal transduction and tumorigenesis.;

NCIt note : There are three in-frame start codons in intron 19 of the ALK gene and all three encode proteins of 60 kDa that each contain the intracellular tyrosine kinase domain, but lack the extracellular and transmembrane domains of the ALK tyrosine kinase receptor protein.
