Alternative definition : CDISC: An in vitro method to determine the plasma concentration of fibrin, based on the correlation of fibrinogen concentration with the clotting time of diluted plasma mixed with excess thrombin. The method is calibrated using a standard curve based on plasma with decreasing fibrinogen concentrations.;
