" /> Autologous Lymphoma Immunoglobulin-derived scFv-chemokine DNA Vaccine - CISMeF

Preferred Label : Autologous Lymphoma Immunoglobulin-derived scFv-chemokine DNA Vaccine;

NCIt definition : A plasmid DNA vaccine encoding an autologous lymphoma-derived idiotype-targeting immunoglobulin (Ig)-derived single chain variable fragment (scFv) fused to the chemokine macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP3a), with potential immunostimulating and antineoplastic activities. Upon intramuscular vaccination, the autologous lymphoma immunoglobulin-derived scFv-chemokine DNA vaccine is taken up by antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and stimulates the immune system to exert a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against the idiotype expressed on the surface of B lymphoma cells. MIP3a, also called chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 20 (CCL20), is a chemotactic cytokine able to enhance the immune response through binding to chemokine receptors expressed on APCs.;
