NCIt definition : A standardized rating scale developed by John F. Kurtzke in 1983 to measure the disability status and level of functioning in people with multiple sclerosis primarily based on ambulation. The questionnaire contains 1 question which is scored in half point scores ranging from 0 (Normal neurological exam) to 10 (Death due to MS). A score of 0 to 4.5 refers to people with a high degree of ambulatory ability; a score of 5 to 9.5 indicates the loss of ambulatory ability.;
