LOINC long common name : Urothelial carcinoma recurrence score Urine Molecular genetics method;
LOINC short name : UC recurrence score Ur;
LOINC description : An overall score for the probability of recurrence of urothelial carcinoma of the
bladder (UCB) based on the presence of urine-based tumor markers in urine specimens
by molecular genetic methods. Testing is performed for the diagnosis and surveillance
of bladder cancer patients. Various non-invasive molecular assays exist for the detection
of UC. Results may include an overall genetic expression score as well as a score
for the recurrence of UC (this term). The submitter's test score ranges from 0-10
where a score of 3.5 is 'low probability of recurrent UC' and a score or 3.5
means 'clinician-directed protocol to determine the presence of recurrent UC, is warranted.[PMID:
