LOINC description : This panel contains results for evaluation of cholesterol, triglycerides, and chylomicrons in urine to evaluate the fat content and aid in the diagnosis of chyluria (galacturia or milky urine), a condition in which chyle is present in the urine. Chyluria can have parasitic and non-parasitic causes. Parasitic chyluria is most prevalent in South East Asian countries where it is caused by parasitic infections spread by mosquitoes. Non-parasitic chyluria is most commonly due to impaired flow of lymph fluid due to a variety of reasons such as pregnancy, surgical procedures, tumors, lymphangiomas, and granulomatous infections.[PMID: 28478046][PMID: PMID: 26019826];
