LOINC description : This panel is used to order combination testing for lipids and glucose. It was created
for, but is not limited in use to, the Abbott Cholestech LDX Analyzer, which can be
used with multiple different cassettes for different combinations of lipid and glucose
testing. This is a point of care device but the instrument separates the blood and
uses plasma for analysis. Fasting specimens are preferred, and for random testing,
the time since the last meal can be reported as part of this panel.;
