LOINC description : This term was created for the NephroCheck test kit, which calculates the likelihood
of acute kidney injury (AKI) based on urine insulin-like growth factor binding protein
7 (IGFBP-7) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 2 (TIMP-2). Both IGFBP-7 and
TIMP-2 are biomarkers for AKI. Patients with a result of 0.3 have a higher risk of
developing moderate or severe AKI within the subsequent 12 hours compared to those
with a result of 0.3 or less. This test kit is intended to help determine the risk
of AKI in conjunction with clinical evaluation for ICU patients with acute cardiovascular
