LOINC description : This test is for the tubular extraction rate (TER) based on the clearance of a radioisotope (e.g., 99mTc-MAG3). The TER can be calculated using various algorithms, including continuous infusion, single injection, single sample, and the two-compartment model. [PMID: 11545186]. Clearance calculation methods may differ for children [PMID:1831838]. Radioisotopes, such as 99mTc-MAG3, provide evidence of tubular clearance because 99mTc-MAG3 is selectively filtered by the renal tubule and not by glomerular filtration. Tc-99m Mertiatide (99mTc-MAG3) is also a radiopharmaceutical used for renography [PMID:11545186]. To report the results of a renography study (and not TER measurement), use [LOINC:39746-3].;
