LOINC display name : Cells.chromosome 3 monosomy/Cells counted FISH (Cancer specimen);

LOINC long common name : Cells.chromosome 3 monosomy/Cells counted in Cancer specimen by FISH;

LOINC short name : Cells.chr 3 mono/Cells NFr Ca spec FISH;

LOINC description : The percent of cells in the cancer specimen containing a single copy of chromosome 3 (monosomy 3) can be detected by FISH based on the number of chromosome 3 probe signals. This term is used to report the number of cells that have a chromosome 3 deletion out of total number of cells examined (e.g. 80 or of 100 cells, or 80%). Results are also typically reported in ISCN (International System for Human Cytogenetic Nomenclature) format [LOINC: 62356-1]. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's assay which uses the Vysis chromosome 3 CEP (D3Z1) probe and a laboratory-developed BCL6 (3q27.2) probe.;
