LOINC description : The emotional subscore reported as part of the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure
(R) Questionnaire is calculated by adding the numeric responses to 5 specific self-assessments
regarding whether or not a patient's heart failure prevented them from living as they
wanted during the past month (4 weeks) from an emotional perspective. The 5 assessments
used (by question number in survey) are: 17 - making you feel you are a burden to
your family or friends; 18 - making you feel a loss of self-control in your life;
19 - making you worry; 20 - making it difficult for you to concentrate or remember
things and 21 - making you feel depressed. The responses are based on a scale of 0-5
where 0 No, 1 Very Little and 5 Very Much; therefore the emotional subscore
is out of a total of 25 points, with a higher score indicating increasing difficulty.;
