of the Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV). This assay is performed on various

oral fluid), fecal swabs, and other miscellaneous specimens (environmental, feed,
feed pre-mix). This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's
PEDV S gene differential PCR, which targets the highly conserved regions of the PEDV
S gene in order to differentiate between the two strains of PEDV know to be circulating
in North America: the original US strain (US PEDV prototype) and the variant US strain
(S INDEL variant).;
