LOINC description : The percent of cells containing chromosome 12 trisomy can be detected by FISH and used for the diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) as well as other forms of cancer. This term is used to report the number of cells that have the extra chromosome out of total number of cells examined (e.g. 80 out of 100 cells, or 80%). Results are also reported in ISCN (International System for Human Cytogenetic Nomenclature) format [LOINC: 62356-1]. This term is based on, but not limited in use to, the Vysis LSI CEP12 probe, which targets the D12Z3 alpha satellite region.;
