of activity is commonly produced by impact with the ground and promotes bone growth
and strength. According to the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines (PAG) for Americans,
children and adolescents should include bone-strengthening physical activity on at
least 3 days of the week as part of their 60 or more minutes of daily physical activity.
Bone-strengthening activities can also be aerobic and muscle-strengthening. Examples
