Chromosome region 13q14 deletion:Find:Pt:Bone mar:Doc:FISHLOINC code
Preferred Label : Chromosome region 13q14 deletion:Find:Pt:Bone mar:Doc:FISH;
LOINC status : ACTIVE;
LOINC display name : 13q14 del FISH Doc (BM);
LOINC long common name : Chromosome region 13q14 deletion in Bone marrow by FISH;
LOINC short name : Chr 13q14 Del Mar FISH;
LOINC description : Deletions at 13q14 can be detected by FISH and used for the diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic
leukemia (CLL), multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) as well as other forms
of cancer. Labs will report the number of cells that have the probe deletion out of
total number of cells examined (e.g. 80 out of 100 cells, or 80%). Results are typically
reported in ISCN (International System for Human Cytogenetic Nomenclature) format
[LOINC: 62356-1]. This term is based, but not limited in use to, the Vysis LSI 13
(13q14) probe, which targets the RB1 gene and flanking regions.;
