Preferred Label : Leishmania infantum donovani Ab.IgG:Titr:Pt:Ser/Plas:SemiQn:IF;

LOINC status : ACTIVE;

LOINC display name : L. infantum donovani IgG IF [Titer];

LOINC long common name : Leishmania infantum donovani IgG Ab [Titer] in Serum or Plasma by Immunofluorescence;

LOINC short name : L infantum donovani IgG Titr SerPl IF;

LOINC description : This assay detects antibodies against Leishmania donovani IgG for L. infantum screening based on the known cross reactivity between L. donovani and L. infantum. If the Leishmania IIFT is positive, a monospecific test (example Westernblot) can be performed to differentiate the pathogenic agents and confirm the diagnosis. Immunoglobulin specific slides distinguish between IgG, IgM and IgA. No reaction at a 1:320 titer indicates no IgG class antibodies against Leishmania donovani are detected, but infection cannot be excluded. A reaction of a titer at 1:320 is positive indicating a former or acute infection. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's Anti-Leishmania donovani indirect immunofluorescence test kit.;
