LOINC long common name : Vigorous physical activity [IPAQ];
LOINC description : A patient's total vigorous physical activity can be reported as a continuous variable
based on the duration (e.g. in minutes) and frequency (e.g. days) of vigorous activity
over the past 7 days. In the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ)
Long form, the patient is asked separate questions on vigorous physical activity in
two domains: at work and in leisure time. The total duration and frequency for these
domains is used to calculate the patient's vigorous physical activity level. In the
IPAQ Short form, these domains are grouped together into a single question for duration
and another for frequency of vigorous physical activity in the last 7 days. The activity
level is reported in MET-minutes/week or MET-minutes/day, although the former is more
frequently used and is thus suggested. Calculation for vigorous physical activity
for the long and short IPAQ forms: Short form: Vigorous MET-minutes/week 8.0 * vigorous-intensity
activity minutes per day * vigorous-intensity days per week Long form: Vigorous MET-minutes/week
8.0 * total vigorous-intensity activity minutes per day (at Work in Leisure) * total
vigorous-intensity days per week (at Work in Leisure);
