Other feeding types to give additional details. Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) can
affect NBS results for amino acids, and possibly for acylcarnitines if TPN includes
carnitine. Carnitine can affect NBS results for acylcarnitines. MCT oil can affect
NBS results for fatty acids. IV dextrose can affect NBS results for C16-OH carnitine.
