LOINC description : Identifies the vaccine series upon which the evaluations and recommendatinos for this
vaccine group are based on. A vaccine series is one set of rules that fulfills the
requirements of immunization. Each series or rule set may have different minimum and
maximum age rules, intervals, etc. For example, there are several ways to accomplish
the goal of Hepatitis B vaccination: (1) three adequately sized and appropriately
spaced doses of any type of Hep B vaccine, (2) two doses of Recombivax adult formulation
received by an adolescent, (3) three doses of a Hep B/HIB combination vaccine, or
(4) three doses of of Hep A/Hep B vaccine.;
