Scope note : from the viewpoint of crystallinity, a polygranular graphite is always a polycrystalline graphite but not vice versa. most industrial graphite materials are polygranular. monogranular materials consist mostly of non-graphitic carbon, such materials are called monolithic or agranular carbons.;
