This disease is characterised by low levels of red blood cells in the body due to abnormal destruction of the cells. A decrease in red blood cell mass due to premature destruction of erythrocytes in the spleen or peripheral vessels secondary to G6PD or other enzyme deficiency.This disease may present with pallor, fatigue, or shortness of breath.;
