ICD-11 definition : Cerebral cavernomas, still called cavernous angiomas, angioma cavernosum or cavernous hemangiomas, are vascular malformations in the brain that are asymptomatic or lead to seizures and/or cerebral hemorrhages. These are often found in an inheritable disorder with autosomal dominant inheritance. This disorder is now easily confirmed by mutational testing. Patients have mutations in KRIT1, KRIT2, or KRIT 3 genes.;
