injury to a nerve or one of its branches. It usually affects one limb, but may spread
to others. The pain usually starts immediately following the nerve injury. The pain
is burning in quality, is usually continuous but may fluctuate and is associated with
sensory changes including allodynia, hyperalgesia and hyperpathia. Vasomotor, sudomotor,
tropic and motor changes may also occur.;
