ICD-11 definition : The development of eczematous inflammation at sites distant from the primary site of an eczema or dermatitis. The onset of such dissemination may occur days or weeks after the primary dermatitis. The distribution of the secondary eczema tends to be symmetrical. Venous eczema, allergic contact dermatitis, acute irritant contact dermatitis and infective dermatitis are all potential triggers. The precise aetiopathology is as yet poorly understood.;
