ICD-11 definition : A condition of the cervix, caused by chronic infection of the cervix with human papillomavirus.
This condition is characterized by premalignant transformation and moderate dysplasia
of the cervix confined to the basal two thirds of the squamous epithelial cells on
the surface of the tissue. Confirmation is by the Papanicolaou smear test followed
by a biopsy of any abnormal cell growth.;
