ICD-11 definition : Acquired cutis laxa is a rare form of cutis laxa with a negative family history and
generally a later age of onset than observed in the hereditary forms. It has been
associated with infections (Lyme disease, syphilis), drugs (penicillamine), various
inflammatory conditions (e.g. urticaria, Sweet syndrome, dermatitis herpetiformis,
rheumatoid arthritis) and as a paraneoplastic phenomenon (e.g. multiple myeloma).
It characteristically presents with involvement of facial skin and progresses caudally.
It is usually generalized though localized forms do occur.;
