ICD-11 definition : Acrokeratosis neoplastica is a rare acral psoriasiform dermatosis associated with
internal malignancy, most frequently squamous cell carcinoma of the upper aerodigestive
tract. It commonly presents before the malignancy has become apparent. It is characterized
by symmetrical, scaly, violaceous plaques affecting the skin of the hands and feet
with a prominent associated nail dystrophy. In severe cases blisters may form and
the nails may be shed. Skin changes may spread to the helices of the ears, the nasal
tip and the scalp, where alopecia may develop.;
