ICD-11 definition : Xeroderma pigmentosum variant is a milder subtype of xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), a rare photodermatosis characterized by severe sun sensitivity and an increased risk of skin cancer. Patients present with skin lesions, generally at the sun-exposed parts of the body which develop into skin cancer at about 20-30 years of age with a 1,000 times higher frequency than that of the general population. No neurological manifestations are observed.;
