ICD-11 definition : Plantar fascial fibromatosis is a relatively uncommon form of superficial fibromatosis affecting the deep connective tissue of the sole of the foot. It is characterized by the presence of spindle-shaped fibroblasts, hypercellularity, and an infiltrative growth pattern. It presents clinically with nodules or cords in the plantar fascia and tendons. In severe cases contractures of the toes may develop, making walking painful.;
