ICD-11 definition : Pemphigus erythematosus is a rare variant of pemphigus foliaceus, and is a chronic autoimmune skin disease with clinical and immunological features of lupus erythematosus as well as pemphigus. It is characterized by superficial blister formation giving scaly lesions in a butterfly distribution over the nose and cheeks as well as the trunk and is mediated by auto-antibodies to the desmosome component desmoglein 1.;
