ICD-11 definition : When assessed by the Glasgow Coma Scale, patients who show abnormal extension of the arms when noxious stimulation is applied. This abnormal extension is characterized by the contraction of the muscle groups in the posterior arm and the relaxation of those in the anterior arm, resulting in the straightening of the arms, anteflexion of the shoulders and flexion away from the midline of the wrists. Extension can be noticed to the legs too. Scored M2;
