ICD-11 definition : A condition which may be mistaken for acral melanoma caused by extravasation of red blood cells from capillaries in the skin of the back of the heel. This area may be subject to extreme shear-stress during strenuous sporting activity (e.g. tennis). It is often first noticed as a circumscribed area of stippled black dots and may not be immediately connected with the activity which provoked it.;
