ICD-11 definition : Intestinal neusronal dysplasia (IND) is characterised by the reduced motility of the large intestine, caused by congenital abnormalities of the enteric nervous system of the colonic submucosal plexis. causing symptoms resembling those of Hirschsprung's disease. The unusually slow passage of wave through the large intestine leads to chronic problems, such as constipation and uncontrollable soiling. It can be grouped into NID A and NID B, with the A form affecting the sympathetic innervation, and the B version affecting the parasympathetic innervation.;
