ICD-11 definition : Mostly children are affected with tick paralysis, presenting within a day or two of progressive paresthesias and leg weakness with a tendency to fall. The weakness tends to ascend and involve axial as well as appendicular muscles. The patient may develop bulbar weakness and involvement of respiratory muscles. The initial erroneous diagnosis is often Guillain-Barré syndrome;
