ICD-11 definition : The early stages of leprosy following contact with M. leprae may have few signs and symptoms other than subtle slightly hypopigmented or erythematous macules on the skin. At this stage it is often not possible to know whether it will progress towards tuberculoid or lepromatous leprosy and it is therefore known as indeterminate leprosy. Nerve damage, either sensory or motor, can occur in this stage and may be the presenting sign [Dermatology TAG].;
