ICD-11 definition : Malformation of the jejunum, the second part of the intestine extending from the duodenum to the ileum. This refers to congenital absence, obstruction with complete occlusion of the intestinal lumen (atresia), or partial occlusion with incomplete obstruction (stenosis) of jejunum. Jejunal atresias have a strong familial tendency, especially the apple peel type. Jejunal atresia is more associated with other somatic malformations than other bowel atresias.;
