of the skin by water-borne, free-living cercariae (schistosomal dermatitis), during
an immune-complex-mediated phase of infection with S japonica (Katayama fever) or
in the later stages of infestation as a result of ectopic localization of worms or
ova, especially in paraumbilical and paragenital skin.;
