ICD-11 definition : McLeod neuroacanthocytosis syndrome (MLS) is a multisystem X-linked disorder with
central nervous system, neuromuscular, and hematologic manifestations in males. The
main clinical manifestations include a movement disorder (choreiform movements), cognitive
impairment and psychiatric symptoms. Red blood cell acanthocytosis is found in virtually
all males with MLS.;
