ICD-11 definition : Adrenal incidentaloma is a tumour that is usually discovered fortuitously during an imaging examination. The term incidentaloma is used almost exclusively for tumours of the adrenal glands. In the majority of cases, incidentalomas are asymptomatic but they may be associated with symptoms related to hormone hypersecretion (pheochromocytoma-like symptoms, hyperaldosteronism or Cushing syndrome). Tumours may be uni- or bilateral. Hormonal studies and further imagining examinations, together with regular follow-up, should be initiated after detection. Surgery is only indicated for symptomatic cases or for patients with rapid tumour growth. Malignant transformation is rare.;
