ICD-11 definition : Eosinophilic pustular folliculitis is an uncommon inflammatory cutaneous reaction
pattern of poorly understood aetiology which is characterized by infiltration of pilosebaceous
follicles by large numbers of eosinophils. Three distinct clinical patterns are recognized:
classical adult which is predominantly facial and is reported principally from Japan;
immunosuppression-associated which is strongly associated with HIV infection and is
usually extrafacial; and infantile occurring predominantly in the first six months
of life.;
