ICD-11 definition : The autoimmune hyperexcitability syndrome with CMFA, is a rare neuromuscular syndrome characterized by muscle weakness, often myokymia, CMFA, at times a cramp and fasciculation syndrome and autonomic features. Paraesthesia and hyperhydrosis are also common. Also CNS symptoms can be associated in Morvan's syndrome. It can appear both as an autoimmune- and a paraneoplastic disease. An association with thymoma exists. The disease is soften antibody mediated in particular with potassium channel antibodies ( VGKC) and the CASPR2 and less LGII subtype. It responds to symptomatic therapy and immune therapies.;
