ICD-11 definition : Inflammation of the meninges due to carcinomatous infiltration. The syndrome is clinically
characterised by headache, neck stiffness, fever and photophobia with potential progression
to stupor and coma. The presentation may be acute, subacute or chronic. Diagnosis
may be aided by neuroimaging and spinal fluid analysis which may reveal a lymphocytic
pleocytosis, raised protein and the presence of malignant cells on cytology.;
