ICD-11 definition : Transient neonatal pustular melanosis is thought to be a variant of neonatal toxic erythema occurring particularly in neonates of African descent. Fragile superficial pustules located especially on the chin, neck, forehead, back and buttocks are noted at or soon after birth. When they rupture they initially form a crust or scale which is then shed to leave multiple discrete pigmented macules which fade over the first few months of life.;
