This disease is characterized by fever, chills, cough, myalgia, arthralgia, or chest pain. This disease may present with acute or chronic symptoms. Transmission is by inhalation of fungal spores. Confirmation is by identification of Blastomyces dermatitidis in a urine, cerebrospinal fluid, or blood sample.;
