ICD-11 definition : Idiopathic restrictive cardiomyopathy is of unknown cause and also has distinct morphologic and haemodynamic characteristics that separate it from dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The characteristics consist of a non-dilated ventricle with typically normal wall thickness, ventricular walls that are rigid, resulting in severe diastolic dysfunction and restrictive filling pattern with elevated filling pressures and dilated atria, and generally normal left ventricular systolic function.;
